ANGELICA FEDERICI, born and raised in Milan, she has taken the master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, specialist in BCT (cells, tissue and biotechnology) at the “Politecnico di Milano”. During the thesis she has worked in the department of “Chimica, Materiali e Ingegneria Chimica Giulio Natta” learning different techniques for the fabrication of scaffolds for biological tissue regeneration and their mechanical and biological characterization. After the degree she has received a research scholarship from INSTM for a project on “In-vitro models for the validation of materials and coatings destined to skin contact”.
BEATRICE FEDERICI completed her studies in Italy with a double master degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and at Politecnico di Torino, where she also received the diploma in Management of Innovation with Alta Scuola Politecnica. During the master, she coordinated a team of 7 engineers on a 1.5-yr multidisciplinary project about peripheral nerve bypass nanotechnology. Meanwhile, she carried out her master thesis on optical stimulation of cardiomyocytes at the Department of Physics of Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the Center for Nano Science and Technology of Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and Humanitas Research Hospital.
